The Institution of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba has an Executive Committee, designated as “the Cabinet” appointed by OMUDHINGIYA and approved by Kusei. The executive constitutes of such number of offices and officers as appear to OMUDHINGIYA to be reasonably necessary for the efficient management and administration of the affairs of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba.
Overall, the ministers in Obudhingiya cabinet undertake the following functions;
a) Formulation of and implementation policies in accordance with the spirit and intent of Obudhingiya
b) Update the cultural council (Kusei) on the affairs of their respective ministries
c) Oversee and manage the day-to-day affairs of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba
d) Appoint and supervise administrative and supporting staff of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba
e) Make on behalf of OMUDHINGIYA necessary agreements or instruments relating to acquiring, pledging or mortgaging of such property of the Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba
f) Make appropriate arrangements on behalf of OMUDHINGIYA to sue or defend suits in respect of the property and/or rights of the institution of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba
g) Authorize or empower any suitable person or body to represent Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba and/or OMUDHINGIYA in any transaction or suit of the nature afore-mentioned.
h) Perform any other tasks as assigned by OMUDHINGIYA from time to time.
All executive meetings are summoned and presided over by the Katikilo and in his or her absence, by the Deputy Katikilo or in absence of both of them, by any other Minister chosen among themselves.
Members of the Executive Committee are individually accountable and responsible to OMUDHINGIYA and the Executive Committee for the functions of their respective portfolios, and collectively responsible for any decision made by the Executive Committee to OMUDHINGIYA
