OMUDHINGIYA is the Cultural Leader of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba cultural institution; the embodiment of unity of the clans of the Bamba, Babwisi and Vanuma communities everywhere they live, and all the people in Bundibugyo, the centre of the institution. OMUDHINGIYA is the supreme head of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba and fountain of Honour, taking precedence over all persons willingly paying allegiance to him as the cultural leader, and at functions, events and., ceremonies, or those at which he is invited as cultural head. In a descending order; Esimudhingiya, Katikilo and Ministers take precedent over persons paying allegiance to the cultural leader.
OMUDHINGIYA enjoys all the attributes, dignities and preeminence attached to his office in accordance with the customs, tradition, usage and practices of his people (Banabudhingiya), he acts the Chief Spokesman and representative of the Obudhingiya as an indigenous community of Uganda on all matters touching on Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba culture and issues of peculiar interest to the said community. OMUDHINGIYA is heard in silence.
