Cultural Council (Kusei) of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba

There is a body known as the Supreme Cultural Council or Kusei of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba. It is legislative and policy making body of the cultural institution. The work of Kusei is to protect the Constitution of the institution and promote the development, peace, transparency and democratic governance of Obudhingiya as a whole. Kusei holds each and every office or person or organ established under the Constitution of Obudhingiya accountable.

Kusei is composed of the following:
a) 2 (two) directly elected clan representatives- 1 (one) male and 1(one) female from each of the 25 clans that make Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba
b) Eleven(11) representatives of the Elders Council elected from members of Elders Council
c) Directly elected representatives of the youth (Mpaghi sya Bwamba) from all the sub counties in Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba, 1 (one) male and 1(one) female
d) Twenty five (25) special nominees of OMUDHINGIYA, appointed from the Banabudhingiya according to the gender, experience and ideology
e) The Executive Committee of Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba (Cabinet), as Ex. Officials

For effective management of its work, Kusei performs most of its functions through Committees including the following;
(a) Culture and Social Mobilisation
(b) Research, Information and Documentation;
(c) Royal Protocol
(d) Budget, Finance and Supplies;
(e) Agriculture, Food Security and Production
(f) Rules, Privileges and Discipline;
(g) Business;
(h) External Relations;
(i) Planning and Economic Development;
(j) Social Services;
(k) Land and other Natural Resources;
(l) Legal and Constitutional Affairs;
(m) Transport and Royal Infrastructure;
(n) Welfare;
(o) Youth and Sports;
